Warnings: Do not use AlcoChange to communicate to your clinician any urgent or emergent information. AlcoChange does not include any features that can send emergency alerts or warnings to your clinician. 

For urgent medical help, use the NHS 111 online service, or call 111, if you are unable to get help online. For life-threatening emergencies, call 999 for an ambulance. There is more information about getting medical help on the NHS website 

AlcoChange is intended for patients whose primary language is English and who have access to an Android/iOS smartphone (please visit Compatibility to know if your phone is compatible with AlcoChange) .

AlcoChange is intended only for patients who own a smartphone and are familiar with the use of smartphone apps (applications). Requires access to internet connection periodically (once 48 hours at least) to be able to upload data and effective use of the app. 

AlcoChange is not intended to be used as a stand-alone therapy for Alcohol Related Liver Disease(ARLD). AlcoChange does not represent a substitution for a patient’s medication. Patients should continue to take their medications as directed by their healthcare provider.

The effectiveness of AlcoChange has been demonstrated in a Clinical Pilot Study where the data demonstrates ~60% dose-dependent reduction in alcohol use from baseline at 3 months, amongst individuals with ARLD who were compliant with the AlcoChange app
