A single-centre feasibility pilot conducted at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust, evaluating the AlcoChange digital therapeutic in 65 adults with alcohol-related liver disease. The study demonstrated feasibility of delivering a 90-day digital behaviour change programme within routine hepatology care.
The published protocol for the NIHR-funded, multi-centre randomised controlled trial of AlcoChange. The protocol describes the trial design, outcome measures and statistical analysis plan for evaluating the digital therapeutic against standard care.
A large-scale, NIHR-funded randomised controlled trial conducted across 25 NHS Trusts with 324 patients recruited. The trial evaluates AlcoChange as an adjunct to standard clinical care. Results are expected Q3 to Q4 2026.

The programme of research spans feasibility studies, protocol development and a definitive multi-centre randomised controlled trial, reflecting a rigorous, evidence-led approach to digital health innovation in hepatology.
